Netball

Welcome to Netball with Greenwich Sports Club (GSC)! The Club has over 100 netball participants and is a member of the Northern Suburbs Netball Association (NSNA). The Club welcomes back its returning members and looks forward to welcoming new members of any skill level.

NetSetGo (previously known as Netta) and Netball provide fitness, camaraderie and team spirit for players, and spectators will enjoy meeting new families and sipping on a coffee which is available at the coffee cart at the courts! There is also a barbeque on Friday nights.

GSC prides itself on ensuring that it's members have a fun and safe sporting experience. Its Member Protection Policy sets forth the Club’s core values, code of conduct, responsibilities, complaints procedure and disciplinary actions. Please direct any enquiries regarding this policy to the Member Protection Officer.

Online registration begins in mid January/early February each year—details are available by clicking here.

What Age Groups do we have?

Depending on registrations, we aim to field teams in the following age groups:

Does my child play Netball or NetSetGo?

GSC fields both Netball and NetSetGo teams.

If your child is turning 9 or under in the relevant calendar year, then they are eligible to play NetSetGo (a modified form of netball). If your child is 10 or over, they will play netball. Children can play in a higher age group if they want to be with their school friends, but not in a lower age division. The one exception to the playing up rule in 2017 will be for 10 year olds - in 2017, the NSNA has determined that only children born in 2007 may play in the 10 year old competition. Any children born in 2008 must continue in the NetSetGo competition.

Please click on the relevant links to NetSetGo or Netball 10s-12s above as applicable for more information.

Key dates and important information notifications

Round 1 Competition is usually scheduled to commence the first Friday/Saturday of April.

The Club maintains a Calendar with important dates but the NSNA website is the definitive one, particularly for up-to-date wet weather notification and fixtures.

Team managers will also generally email relevant team information on a weekly basis.
