Coaching and Player Development

The Club is proud of the many people who volunteer to support our players in roles such as Manager, Coach, Umpire, and other support functions.

All officials of NetSetGo and Junior netball are asked to sign a Working with Children declaration prior to the start of the season.

Coaching

GSC's coaches are the lifeblood of the club. Our junior teams are often coached by parent volunteers as way of connecting with their children and their friends, and fostering a love of sport from a young age. No prior experience of netball is necessary - we have had a number of fathers successfully coach netball teams in the past using general sporting and team management experience.

GSC also welcomes local teenage coaches who are seeking to broaden their own netball experience within their community or who are participating in the Duke of Edinburgh Award program. If you wish to register interest in coaching for a Greenwich team, please contact the Netball Convenor.

GSC prides itself on ensuring that its members have a fun and safe sporting experience. Its Member Protection policy sets forth the Club’s core values, code of conduct, responsibilities, complaints procedure and disciplinary actions. Please direct any enquiries regarding this policy to the Member Protection Officer.

For those interested, the NSNA runs a number of clinics for coaches during the season. We will list those clinics here as these dates are released.

Useful resources for coaches can be found on the following NSNA link: http://nsna.nsw.netball.com.au/default.aspx

Player Development

A number of former Australian netballers run clinics during school holidays for those children seeking to improve their netball skills. We will list out dates for these clinics here as they are published.

For girls who are showing a high degree of ability in Netball, the NSNA runs representative squads for the U11-U14 age groups (note, you must turn the required age in the calendar year). Players can apply for these squads in August of each year with the consent of the GSC Netball Convenor. A copy of the nomination form will be posted on this page when it is released.

Thank you once again for your support and we hope you have a wonderful netball season.
